The bedroom I shared yesterday from the Southern Style Now Festival that was designed by my friend and colleague Paloma Contreras (creator of La Dolce Vita blog) has taken me to a whole other world of the fabulous De Gournay Chinoiserie Wallpaper…I mean, W O W…no matter how ornate or simple the presence and design is, it screams luxurious. Even if it’s not your style for a whole wall or room in your home, framing it and hanging it as art in your home is another great, cost effective way to design the Chinoiserie wallpaper…these rooms are styled so well, letting the wallpaper speak for itself against strong, lush furniture and detailed, oversized mirrors. I’m even thinking in a powder room or entry way, the chinoiserie collection would be the perfect accent…now to find the time to start a little remodel project…
I love this room with the white walls and the hint of the wallpaper, but it still allows for the mirror and the marble fireplace to have a weighty presence in the room too 🙂
This wallpaper below is printed on silk…silk walls…can you imagine?!
