Trend Watch: Best Flats for Wall/Winter 2018
Whether trendy or timeless, these are the top flat styles for fall and winter this year. Time to add to my essentials list.
1. Backless Mules

Backless Mules in leather like these ‘Capri’ Mules are all over town this year. Pair them with trousers and a blazer or sweater for an effortless fall look.
2. Simple Slingbacks

These simple black slingbacks are amazing. The Dolce Vita
Berry Suede Slingback Flats come in both blush and black for any fall outfit.
3. Bow Mules

I love these Bow Suede Mules in black, blue and tan. The bow adds the perfect touch to these suede mules.
4. Cap Toe Flat

Much like earlier this year, Winter White is still going strong this season. The Black and White Penelope Cap Toe Flat is a great way to combine plaid trousers and a white or black sweater. Pair it with a colorful wool coat to add a pop of color to your fall outfit. This look is a more affordable version of the classic Chanel shoe.
5. Ballet Flat

The Carson Ballet Flat from Frye is the perfect everyday wear. Comfortable, timeless and stylish, I love this elegant ballet flat.
6. Bow Slides

Whether simple flats or mules, bow slides are a cute fall look for any outfit. I like pairing my bow slides Madewell The Remi Bowl with a denim or chambray plunge jumpsuit and a baker boy hat or fisherman cap.
7. Loafers

Dress down leather loafers like these Izabel Loafers from Matt & Nat with high-waisted jeans and a cashmere crop sweater or button-down blouse.
8. Two-Tone Backless Mules

I love these Clay Begonia Flat Backless Mules with the black. They match with almost every fall neutral outfit and look great when running around town.
9. Pointed Slingback

The Editor Slingback from Everlane is an effortless, elegant pointed slingback. Pair it with a jumpsuit or overall jumper with a sweater underneath for the perfect Saturday outfit.
10. Puff Flats

Not exactly the simplest or cheapest flat style of the season (but oh so fun), powder puff flat backless flat mules like these from Aquazzura are great for a special occasion or a ‘treat yourself’ shopping spree.
11. 80 Inspired V Slingbacks

The 80s are back this season, and few looks show that more than the v-shapes mules. This Matilda Slingback Flat is great for a more sophisticated, working look. Pair with a pantsuit and you’re ready to take on the workday.
12. Loafer Slipper

Nothing says comfortable like a loafer-slipper combination. These Blanchette super-comfy leather loafer flats are the perfect fall essential.
13. Half D’Orsay Pointed Flats

Half D’Orsay Flats like this Marc Fisher ‘Sunny’ Flats are a great and comfortable walking shoe. The Sunny comes in various colors and materials, so they’re the perfect addition to work or dinner outfit.
14. Backless Mule Loafers

This Backless Mule Loafers are a great and easy slip-on fall must-have. Get the Staggia Loafer Mule here.
15. Pointed-Toe Mule Loafers

I absolutely love these minimalist’s dream of a shoe. Piper Loafer Mule from Cole Haan just exudes sophistication. Whether working on a deadline or going to brunch, these are the perfect fall and winter flats.
16. Tassel Loafers

Pointed-toe tassel loafers are a great late fall/winter shoe. These Zuly Pointy Toe Loafers are a great must-have for colder days. Pair them with tights and a skirt or dress. For colder weathers, I like wearing Heattech Tights from Uniqlo to keep me warm during cooler days.
17. Open-Sided Loafer Flats

I love the way these Calvin Klein Edona Loafer Flat look. Dark red/burgundy and black are always a great combination for fall.
Love the price point of these. All affordable and cute too. Ideas…thinking…I might just snap up a few!
Hope you have an amazing fall!
