Earlier this year, AM and JE purchased their first home together with the goal of renovating and decorating it in time for Memorial Day. And boy, did they deliver! By the summer, they had transformed their new weekend home into a stunning oasis, complete with AM’s personal touches.
As soon as I stepped into the living room (or den, as AM likes to call it), I was struck by the beautiful blue accents against the clean white backdrop. AM’s love of traditional modern design and Chinoiserie elements shine through in every detail. The space was filled with layers of patterns and textures, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. So perfect for the Hamptons.
The centerpiece of the living room was a gorgeous Madeline Weinrib dhurrie rug that tied the whole room together. AM had also recovered two vintage chairs and paired them with a chic ottoman with lucite legs from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. I couldn’t help but notice the porcelain elephant serving as a side table between the vintage chairs and a cute garden stool on one side of the sofa.
AM’s attention to detail didn’t stop there. She plans on adding a fantastic white bamboo mirror to one of the walls and creating a gallery wall of black and white family photos above the sofa. The built-in shelves across from the living room seating area will also be covered in coordinating blue wallpaper to complete the look.
I was blown away by AM’s impeccable taste and style. It’s no wonder I joked that they might find a permanent guest staying in their weekend home! If you’re looking for inspiration for your own home, be sure to follow me on COCOCOZY Pinterest to check out the mirror AM has picked out.
Congrats AM and JE! Love your house…can’t wait to see the rest of the changes next time I come!
Happy Friday!
