BLOCKS OF BLUE!

I love the color blue. I also love seeing solid blocks of uninterrupted blue in home decor. Here are some fab photos of blocks of blue used to decorate. It works in bedrooms, living rooms, on walls, on furniture like chairs and even on stairs. No need for busy prints or patterns when it comes to blue. Just a solid punch of it here or there or all over works!

Any shade blue is good too…turquoise, dark blue, royal blue, aqua, cobalt blue, teal, baby blue, navy blue, powder blue and of course Tiffany Blue…they all can make a room complete.

Try a bold block of solid blue in your house, home, apartment, country cottage or city loft…and send me a picture…would love to see how it looks!

My favorite of these blue photos is the staircase in aqua blue (or is that turquoise…never know the difference). There is something so beachy rustic chic about these worn stairs and the color. I love the idea of using blue on the floor!

Which is your favorite?

I have to say that I love those stairs too! A close second is the turquoise wall with that fab black and white clock. Also love the bright yellow in that photo. What a fun room!

Love blue, I have been seeing a lot of navy lately and that is so sharp when mixed with a crisp white. Fun images!! kathysue

I like the Lynn Morgan Design picture the best. It’s such a great shot especially at that angle looking towards the fireplace. A light and summery looking room!

The aqua staircase is fantastic! What a great way to make something generic absolutely smashing.

I think my favorite is the livingroom with the blue built in. I love the idea of painting a built in cabinet a fun color. I also think it’s fun to walpaper the back panels inside the shelving. LOVE blue! I don’t have much of it in my house…I think I need to change that.

I really like the first photo. Do you know the paint color for that wall?

I really like what Lynn Morgan Design did with that living room. Just enough blue to really make it pop. Thanks for sharing these pictures.

In our last post, our featured house had wonderful Carolina Blue Floors throughout. It gives the house an outside–in porch feel that we love.

Love the Stairs! Looks like the same turquoise that native Americans use around windows and doors to keep evil spirits from coming inside the home. Beautiful!
