style I’m the type of California girl that wears a heavy coat and scarf when the weather is below 70 degrees. So I’m excited that spring is around the corner. It is one of my favorite seasons. It’s the perfect time of year for vibrant outdoor dinner parties. The fresh bloom of flowers makes for great centerpieces. Maybe, I’ll do a spring tablescapes blog soon.
Anyhoo….today is Presidents’ Day, which means it’s one of the best days of the year to shop online. I’ve browsed sales at Bloomingdale’s, Lulu & Georgia, and more so you don’t have to. Now is the time to shop before the new season. February is ending soon! So why not find the perfect fashion finds or home decor items to start the new season.

fashion Introducing my new series “What’s Currently In My Cart.” What started out as a quick browse on Nordstrom, turned into my cart being full of new items. I recently took a trip to Palm Springs and realized I need a new overnight bag. I’ve been eyeing the new MZ Wallace gym bag. I’m not sure if it will be big enough. Then, I started browsing their shoes because who doesn’t want new shoes? I narrowed it down to a few winter staples…so I thought. Somehow my cart has 9 items in it! How did that happen? See what’s in my cart below.
fashion It’s time to add some new winter staples to your wardrobe. I just went through my closet to make room for some new essentials. Although, it’s great to stay on-trend each season. Current winters trends include sherpa accessories, oversized puffers, and the colorful Acne Studio scarf. I’m obsessed with these sherpa platform sneakers from Converse. However, investing in staple pieces is always the right move. Especially, if you’re cleaning out your closet for the new season.
Due to the pandemic, I really haven’t been shopping much unless they were items I really needed. Now that holiday shopping is behind me, I can finally prioritize shopping for myself. This is also your reminder to treat YOURSELF!
fashion Recently I had a few friends attend a wedding in Santa Barbara. We talked about what they would wear at our gatherings and dinner parties. I wasn’t on the guestlist but was able to live vicariously through them. They shared their dress ideas with me, which led to many hours of browsing the internet for the perfect dress. It made me realize that wedding guests have a lot of prep to do. If you don’t own any formal attire, then that means it is time to start shopping for a new look. The shopping process can be overwhelming for those who don’t love to shop. I’m exhausted and didn’t even attend the wedding!
