Just in time for Halloween, I bought a few pumpkins the other day in a plan to decorate for fall. But as I brought them home, I noticed they clashed with the other colors. The orange didn’t really match my house so I decided to just changed the color of the pumpkins!

I decided on a hunter green, mist green and a powdery blue for my little pumpkins. And it worked out. This little pumpkin makeover perfectly matched my decor.

My ode to fall continues with my first Fall City Guide listing all the unique fall things you can do in a city near you.  Miami, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.  This guide covers all the fun things you can experience close to home. Events are happening all over this October and November. And I’m not just talking about pumpkin patch photo ops.

Not every fall activity is the same and no two cities have the same interesting things to offer.  I suggest reading some of the interesting things going on in other cities too!

Maybe your town goes all out for Oktoberfest or celebrates fall with some mojitos. This fall, be a tourist in your own area and take advantage of the unique things your town or city and the surrounding area has to offer. Is it just me or did January fly by? I wrapped 2017 by throwing an over-the-top winter dinner party for about 30 of my family and friends — and I’m just now getting around to sharing it with all of you! Better late than never!

Okay…I have procrastinated on Thanksgiving.  I am just admitting that right up front.  I have a very very small dinner I am doing for my family and some loved ones.  I can’t wait to welcome them into my home. Problem…I really haven’t done a thing and it is Tuesday morning before Thanksgiving.  I am starting this morning with dreaming about my table setting and the flowers arrangements I will design.  I use the word “design” loosely…I am not good at flower arranging but I figure if I get some really pretty flowers…my incapacity won’t matter.  That lead me to the beautiful instagram feed of Floret Flower, an Oregan based flower farm, for inspiration.
