CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND PRETTY SPACE!

August 11, 2011
  • Share
Den with a rock wall, white sofa, silver lamp, and a tree trunk coffee table

Stone walls…I like them…

Rustic charm works well in the these settings. When the rocks or stones are chosen correctly for tone and texture, feature walls like these can be a chic design element in a room (on the flip side, if chose poorly then it can make a room look like a bad 70s throw back). A rock wall. Something to consider.

Rustic breakfast nook with built in banquet seating with two wicker chairs, casement windows with roll up shades, a dark wood table, a stone wall and a pendant light
Living room with exposed beams, a round chandelier, a stone fireplace built into a rock wall, dark wood floor and a console table with two lamps with black bases
Loft bedroom with wood ceiling, exposed beams, a stone wall nook and simple furnishings

Which of these walls are you liking the best? I love the breakfast nook and the bedroom. Which one could you live with?

Happy Thursday!

P.S. Thank you to the nearly 1000 of you who watched/listened to my second COCOCOZY DESIGN GUIDE audio/picture post! Will do another this weekend hopefully and make a lot shorter. If you haven’t seen it and have time (12 minutes) to take a look and listen, the bathroom towards the end if worth seeing!

P.P.S. Revealing a bit of the new pillows from the COCOCOZY collection tomorrow here on the blog! I can’t wait to share with you! Stay tuned.

P.P.P.S. Remember if you are in New York this next week (Sun-Thurs), come to the New York International Gift Fair and meet me and see the collection in person. I’d love to see you all! COCOCOZY is in booth #7849 at the Javits Center!

I’m really loving the warm grey walls against the neutral tones in the stone on the second photo!

Classic moldings, soft light, and that perfect mix of old and modern pieces. It all just works.
If you could bring one Parisian detail into your home, what would it be? ✨

A masterclass in contemporary wedding event designA masterclass in contemporary wedding event design, every detail feels intentional, layered, and deeply personal.
Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
