No fear of cement tile floors here in this Spanish apartment. This cute bright vacation home belongs to Danish designer, Tine Kjeldsen. This updated rustic 3 bedroom apartment is located in the center of the city Palma on the island of Majorca (or Mallorca) which is a part of Spain in the Mediterranean. Majorca is a popular vacation European destination so I guess this Scandinavian designer decided a city apartment there would be the perfect place to blend styles. The bright fresh white walls and minimalist furnishings are clearly influenced by Tine’s upbringing in Denmark…but then those cement tile floors…I count 4 different styles seem to be the Spanish island influence.
Love this little flat. Love the mix of patterns in the cement tile floors. All in grey, white, muted shades of blue and green. The mix and match tile floors work. Take a look.
Would you be bold and mix 4-5 cement tile patterns in one home?
I kind of like it!

P.S. Had a great meeting yesterday with long time friends TS and JD. They gave me lots of ideas to think about! Also had dinner with fab interior designer, Nicole Gibbons. We went to the Soho House and it was so much fun catching up. Busy day yesterday. Another busy one ahead…including something I haven’t done in 6 months!!! More on that later.

amazing design
I love the grey and white diamond floor. Well I like them all really but that one caught my eye. I’m painting our kitchen floor (aaaggghhh scary I know) next month and I’ve been researching colours, techniques etc. and now I can’t wait to get at it. Beautiful post with all those natural elements. Everything seems to be cotton or linen and baskets everywhere and even jute rugs. love it all. Have a great weekend:-)
