CHEAP TO CHIC: HOW METAL CAN WORK BEAUTIFULLY INSIDE THE HOME!

November 30, 2009

Bathroom with metallic and grey vine and leaf pattern wallpaper from Thibaut's Natural Resources Collection
Thibaut – Earth Vine Wallpaper (Metallic on Grey vine leaf pattern comes from Thibaut’s Natural Resources Collection)(above)

Totally into shiny metallics this season. Maybe it is the holidays…maybe it is the time of year…but I like the idea of some cool metal shine inside the home.

Especially love this chic wallpaper from Thibaut pictured above – the perfect blend of a metal with a sophisticated pattern equals a wallcovering that is both classic and modern.

So with metal on my mind…here is a collection of metallics in today’s CHEAP TO CHIC:

Decorative steel faux bamboo shoots from Kenneth Wingard
Kenneth Wingard – Steel Bamboo – $74-90 (Decorative faux bamboo shoots crafted from real steel. Oxidizes with age. Comes in large and small)(above)

Silver Chinese garden stool from Wisteria
Wisteria – Silver Garden Stool – $129 (Chinese metallic garden stool. Electroplated to have polished metal look)(above)

Three Madeline Weinrib Sterling Silver Picture Frames from auto
auto – Madeline Weinrib Sterling Silver Picture Frames – $250-350 (Comes in three different sizes. Wide frame with beaded trim) (above)

Vintage 1940s French dining iron frame dining table from Balsamo Antiques
Balsamo Antiques – Industrial Dining Table – $6950 (1940s French dining iron frame dining table on casters)(above)

A masterclass in contemporary wedding event designA masterclass in contemporary wedding event design, every detail feels intentional, layered, and deeply personal.
Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
