Pratesi – “Three Lines” Bedding
Pratesi (above) is the grand dame of all bed linens and bedding lines. Costing in the thousands to complete a sheet set, duvet covers, pillow shams and coverlets. Pratesi’s linens are the finest and with high thread counts and high quality fabrics. Soft and luxurious. My other best friend, FF, is a devotee of Pratesi – she has adorned the bedrooms throughout her grand southern home with these fine linens.
The chic in bedding to me is to have a beautiful white bed trimmed in embroidery. I like the idea of the simplicity of the white with a touch of style added to it with colorful stitching. Embroidered bedding can be found in all price ranges now. From the most elegant to the most economical.
Here is today’s CHEAP TO CHIC:
Pottery Barn– Pearl Embroidered Bedding – Queen Duvet Cover $99, Euro Sham $35, Standard Sham $25 (above)
Gracious Home – Yves Delormes Laurier Bedding – Queen duvet, $580, Standard Shams $280, Euro Shams $380 (above)
I’ve been shopping here for a while – http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/Matouk.htm – they specialize in fine linens and carry Matouk, Pratesi, Yves Delorme, etc. I’ve had such good experiences with them and wouldnt shop anywhere else.
