The Importance of Shopping For Spring Break
One of the best ways to start getting excited about a trip is by shopping (DUH)! There’s no better reason to update your wardrobe with new spring/summer finds. Most spring break trips include a warm and tropical setting. It’s critical to plan ahead to make sure you’re prepared for all planned activities, including lounging on the beach or hiking in the mountains. Planning ahead will give you a sense of what to expect on the trip. Some important items to add to your spring break shopping trip includes, swimsuits, skincare, and travel accessories. You’ll feel the most relaxed knowing you have everything you need while enjoying your vacation!
How to Choose a Destination
There’s no point in stressing yourself out about planning your spring break trip. The first step to choosing a destination is by determining your budget. How much do you want to spend? Keep in mind how much you need to shop for the trip. And how much you will spend when you’re on your vacation. To choose your destination ask yourself these three questions:
- Do you want a warm or cold destination?
- Do you want to travel outside the US or travel somewhere local?
- Do you want to relax or go on an adventure?
Once you settled on a few different ideas, it’s important to research the weather during the Spring Break season. Some destinations might be rainy or too cold for your ideal vacation! And if you don’t want to be around large crowds, then pivot from top spring break destinations including Mexico and Miami.
Shopping For Clothes for Vacation
It’s time to start shopping for clothes! But where do you start? When shopping for a trip look for items that are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to pack. There are a lot of essentials for a spring break trip so it’s important to try to fit as much as you can in your suitcase. It’s ideal to back a few casual outfits and a few formal occasion outfits for dinners or nights out. A pro tip is to plan more outfits with dresses. They’s light-weight and easy to pack for travel. See my packing list below…

Prioritize Beauty & Skincare
A spring break shopping guide isn’t complete without beauty essentials. Your skincare routine shouldn’t stop while on vacation. In fact, it’s crucial to prioritize your skin while traveling. A new environment means new ways to expose your skin to the sun, saltwater, and more. It’s a necessity to bring a high SPF sunscreen and bonus points if your foundation or tinted moisturizer has SPF. While on vacation, you need to protect your face and chest and sunburns and irritations. I always throw in a lip balm with SPF, my favorite is Aquaphor’s Lip Repair Stick. And keep it simple when it comes to makeup. Makeup essentials like waterproof mascara and tinted moisturizer can also help you achieve a natural vacation glow. Pro Tip: buy the travel-size versions or invest in reusable travel containers. It will save you so much room in your luggage!
