Really love this room with the eggplant colored walls with gold trim, its dark stained rustic wide plank wood floors and its simple but inviting furnishings.
This deep dark purple room reminds me of winter for some reason…a refuge from winter I should say…and today it feels like winter here in Los Angeles.
Last night, it was raining so hard I thought my tiny house in the Hollywood Hills would cave in. As a precautionary measure to potentially being flooded (exaggeration), I scrambled around not looking for supplies to soak up possible incoming water but instead I scrambled around looking for a cute rain outfit. Found it! See the COCOCOZY TWITTER feed to see a picture of what I came up with!
This to say…it is cold here too in Los Angeles…and cold makes me think of warm spaces and warm clothes! I know, East Coasters and Mid-Westerners do not believe we have “weather” here…but we do (I’m sure most people around the rest of the country are snarling right now and would not deem anything that happens in L.A. as “real weather” but I am from here and to me rain is “weather”…in fact a drizzle is “weather” to me).
All this talk of cold weather, rain, snow and whatever it may be makes me want to be in a cozy inviting room bundled in cute cozy and inviting clothes. Voila! Today’s post(my thought process as you can see is not that of a rocket scientist unfortunately…very simple, I am cold, I want to be in a warm room, put up photos of a room and and outfit that look warm as inspiration…hmmmm….note to self: need to not share my oh too simplistic thinking too often…will ruin the mystery…certainly…LOL!)!

What do you think of this room and this look? Warm enough for you? What do you do in your home to make it warm and inviting?
Hope you have a happy cozy Monday!

P.S. Oh, my complex thinking did inspire someone…my stylish friend/blogger Social Primer…based on a phone call we had yesterday, and a suggestion I made (see his blog for more details on our conversation), he immediately decided to do a little Social Primer Facebook giveaway from his fab bow tie line from Brooks Brothers – his first giveaway ever! Who knew I could actually inspire someone to do something? Feeling quite good about having some words of wisdom that were actually useful!
P.P.S. Oooooh speaking of giveaways…trying to come up with a good one for Facebook very soon. So please make sure to follow COCOCOZY FACEBOOK too!
Gorgeous!!!!! Those floors are to die for…..

The wood floor in the photo feels warm even without a rug.
Coco,
That room is very warm and beautiful, but I am not sure if I could live with that color.. it’s ok for winter, but in the summer it would feel like walking into a…??? Too warm. But I love, love, love the furnishings and art.

I wonder where that trunk came from?
Oh goodness I love those floors!!!! Love love love! And the aubergine walls are gorgeous. If I lived in that house, I would spend all day in that particular room. 😉
PS Great guest blog the other day, Coco!
I LOVE that room. Obsessed.
i normally don’t like dark walls but this is gorgeous!
Dear Cococozy,
I enjoyed your blabla on your “weather” as here in pris it is more than “weather” it’s just pure shitty “weather” with sort of snwo and rain which makes Lady Eiffel Tower hide her head in the clouds not to see reality !
You may find a few tips on how to cuudle up for Winteer days on my blog ” rresistibleparis. blogspot.com”.
I read you every day and it makes my day !

LOVE this room – it’s like a lovely twist on a traditional red library – but so much more sophisticated. The Rag and Bone shearling is equally chic – great pairing!!
The dark wall color makes the room so inviting…LOVE!
