Designed by Eero Saarinen in 1956, this dining table, known as the “Saarinen tulip table” has become a modern traditional piece of sorts. Somehow the lines of the table speak to almost every decor genre or style…a dashing timeless neutral piece…suitable for any home, house, loft, apartment, condo, guest house, vacation home etc. etc. etc.. It is versatile and can morph into any environment whether ultra contemporary or classic and traditional. I love the idea of using this in a breakfast nook with some very classic wood chairs and a fabulous chandelier.
