Here is a lovely holiday table inspired by and designed for posh British fragrance and lifestyle brand Jo Malone. Photos were sent to me from the company’s public relations department.
Jo Malone worked with San Francisco interior designer Jean Larette to create an elegant and festive holiday dining table installation for an event at the San Francisco Design Center last week (DIFFA’s Dining by Design).
A black lacquer fireplace and mantel is adorned with simple white beaded trim and a large pomegranate wreath hangs above. The mantel is decorated with Jo Malone signature products including scented candles. Photo courtesy of Jo Malone and by David Livingston. (above)
The table design was inspired by the simple but elegant black and cream packaging used for Jo Malone’s products (which include fragrances, body & bath, skin care, and home accessories like candles).
As far as color goes, this dining area includes cream, off-white, black, green, red and silver to create chic holiday themed table decor.
Silver rimmed glass plates provide the perfect frame for black napkins and a Jo Malone party favor – a nice takeaway gift for dinner guests. Photo courtesy of Jo Malone and by David Livingston. (above)
Here is an excerpt of designer Jean Larette’s description of this room’s decor:
“…Full panel mirrors to reflect that sparkle and enhance the intimacy of the dining room setting. The sculptural pomegranate wreath suspended by a black grosgrain ribbon added a festive element. The table setting resting atop a custom ivory linen table cloth edged in black is reminiscent of the brand’s signature packaging. This color palette was repeated in the black Oly Studio chairs with ivory raffia seating which added texture in a casual yet refined way and the black floor with the addition of the cream-colored stripe. Baccarat champagne flutes and black glassware added both sophistication and sparkle… Instead of a traditional chandelier, I suspended cream-colored rose spheres from black grosgrain ribbon as a soft, feminine accent. Lastly, the fresh pine needles added softness and greenery to our Holiday table.”
