DESIGNER ROOM RECREATE: DINING ROOMS BY M.DESIGN INTERIORS

M. Design Interiors, an L.A. based interior design firm run by Molly Luetkemeyer, created these airy and inviting dining spaces featured in this post. While these dining rooms are 100% modern, they still manage to have a classic elegance to them. I like these rooms because they feel both formal and casual at the same time. You can imagine eating a refined meal in these spaces and also hanging out in them for a relaxed Sunday morning brunch.

In the first dining room (above) she uses Philippe Starck ghost chairs to surround a glass dining table. I love the art…a huge frame with a light pink muted graphic design. This room is the ultimate in simplicity yet feels very luxurious.

In this dining room, M.Design Interiors used the glittering mirror as the centerpiece and focal point of this room. It provides a lively and festive backdrop for the serene and clean lines of the dining room table and chairs.

Here are some similar items you might use to recreate these looks:

Philippe Starck Ghost Louis Chair from Design Within Reach
DWR – Phillippe Starck Louis Ghost Arm chair in Crystal – $410 (above)

Dining table and chairs from Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn – Celine Dining Table $799 and Morrow Dining Chair $79 each (above)

Modern silver chandelier from Jonathan Adler
Jonathan Adler – Meurice Chandelier – $625 (above)

A masterclass in contemporary wedding event designA masterclass in contemporary wedding event design, every detail feels intentional, layered, and deeply personal.
Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
Location: An ornate and iconic room. Painted Hall at Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich England @orncweddings.
