How To

Guideline to Earning More Money in Virtual Interior Design

October 4, 2022
  • Share

Virtual interior design is becoming the new norm. High-profile interior designers aren’t successful because they work in luxurious design studios or office buildings. It’s about the designer’s passion for storytelling and discovering the purpose of each project. And thanks to the digital age, it can all be done from the comforts of home. Designers now have the ability to consult clients and design projects from anywhere. The COCOCOZY team put together an easy guide to making more money as a virtual interior designer.

How to Make More Money as a Virtual Interior Designer?

An easy way to earn money as a virtual interior designer is by monetizing consultations and recommendations for clients. Designers are constantly asked what their favorite items are and where to buy them. Why not make a commission when a client makes a purchase? Chirpyest shopping boards are an amazing tool for earning cash back on products. Curate boards that are designed to correlate to a specific project or room. When the client shops then the designer will make money.

Another way to make money as an interior designer is by shopping with the Chirpyest browser extension. Interior designers that are also Chirpyest members earn cash back while shopping for clients. That’s hundreds or even thousands of dollars that are earned for the business. Learn more about Chirpyest shopping boards and share links at Chirpyest.com.

BIG NEWS! Chirpyest is featured in In Touch Weekly. Read the article here to learn about the shopping platform and how to earn cash back! The team is super excited!

A great parquet floor doesn’t just ground a room. A great parquet floor doesn’t just ground a room. It tells you everything about the history of the space. The patina, the pattern, the way light moves across it. These are the rooms that prove good bones never go out of style.
What’s your favorite parquet pattern?

Designer Emma Donnersberg took her own Paris apartment in the 7th arrondissement and used it to rewrite the rules — classical bones, contemporary everything else. Her Wave Sofa and U&Me Table anchor the living room in organic curves. In the kitchen, a green ceramic-wrapped island does the heavy lifting for color against all that neutral stone. And the dining room? A Carrara travertine fireplace that turns stone into the whole point of the room.
Curved, curated, and completely hers. 🤍

A balcony this beautiful deserves a tour. 🤍 A litA balcony this beautiful deserves a tour. 🤍
A little peek at one of my favorite outdoor spaces, which I designed years ago. The patterned tile, navy seating, white stucco, and layers of greenery make this balcony feel like a little room all its own.
I love how much personality you can create in a small outdoor space without making it feel overcrowded.

Want a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and invitingWant a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and inviting? Start with these simple changes:
1. Layer your bedding. Mix sheets, a duvet, quilts, and throw blankets to create that plush, lived-in look.
2. Add warm lighting. Swap harsh overhead lighting for bedside lamps, sconces, or a statement light with a warm glow.
3. Bring in plenty of texture. Think linen, velvet, boucle, chunky knits, and soft rugs.
4. Keep the palette warm and calming. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and muted colors instantly make a room feel more restful.
5. Mix in natural materials. Wood, rattan, woven accents, and stone add warmth and character.
6. Make the walls feel personal. Art, photographs, or even a statement headboard can make the room feel more finished.
7. Add something organic. A vase of branches, fresh flowers, or a little greenery can bring the room to life.
The goal isn’t to make your bedroom perfect. It’s to make it feel like a place you actually want to retreat to at the end of the day.
Save this for your next bedroom refresh. 🤎

The right chandelier doesn’t just light a room, it becomes the room. Scale, material, placement. When it’s done right, everything else arranges itself around it.
