To find out how this coffee shop came to life, I will leave it to the food reviewing pros to tell you the details here and here.
The design is a comfy warm eclectic mix of industrial (high exposed ceilings), rustic, modern and L.A. hipster chic all in one. Visually, I think the environment, will appeal to a lot of people. It is comfortable and pleasing to look at.
All I know is that Hilltop creators Ajay Relan and Yonnie Hagos and menu genius chef Jason Fullilove had the right idea when they decided to open this coffee place right between Culver City, the airport and the new sports stadium. Smart smart smart.
The shop’s atmosphere is inviting. There are several individual tables both inside and outside and two high communal tables adorned with arrangements of succulents. This shop provides me with the option of dashing in and out or staying for a bit!
I drive from Beverly Hills to View Park to check in on the COCOCOZY Design House renovation almost every day. Almost every day, I am running late…no time to get my morning tea in my neighborhood! Now, with Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen open, on my way to “work”, I can easily pull into the back parking lot (accessible off Overhill or Angeles Vista) just off Slauson, pop in and get my must have morning (and sometimes afternoon) tea.
This coffee shop also serves a great breakfast and lunch. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area! I may find another home to renovate in the View Park area just so I can stop by this cute place.
