INSPIRED OUTDOOR ENTERTAINING!

Elegant table setting with green glasses, purple rimmed wine and beer glasses, woven place mates and white plates and dinnerwear

So…I am thinking about throwing a dinner party at my house a week from Sunday. The operative word in the preceding sentence is “thinking”. This is merely a thought…an idea…an inclination at this point…

Need to try to transform my thoughts into actions. Hmmm….(easier said than done…)

This outdoor tabletop setting has provided some inspiration for me – elegant dining alfresco. Love the colors (green, white and purple) and the feel the green glasses, the purple rimmed wine and beer glasses, the woven place mats and the white plates and dinnerware…all work so wonderfully together. Is this enough to motivate me to throw a party?

Let’s say for the fun of it (all hypothetical)…I actually make a definitive decision to have a party. And then let’s say for even more fun, I actually pull off the decor part of it all and set a gorgeous table. The bigger question then becomes “what do I serve for dinner”???? Is food necesary if things look really good???? LOL!

Seriously though…Help!

I love this table! It is definitely inspiring! Wouldn’t it be nice if it was “okay” to throw a fab party, with your table set and decor but not have to worry about the food part, ha ha! (yeah right) That would make things much easier!!! Good luck whatever you decide to do. I’m sure if you decided yes, it will be a wonderful party!! Take pics if you do!

I like Alisa’a idea, too. You could pick a theme, like Italian, BBQ, or Mexican & let the guests decide on the dishes to bring.

It is warmer here now, but these were the looks I It is warmer here now, but these were the looks I reached for in Paris when the days were still cold. ❄️
I remember building each outfit around a coat or a scarf, with comfortable shoes that could take me anywhere, knowing I would be out for hours just walking.
Nothing overthought, just pieces that felt right for the pace of the day.
What would be your OOTD for a cold day in Paris?
If you want to shop these looks, comment SHOP and I will send you the link.

It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ , founder and designer of luxury furniture brand @hartisparis_ at a small gathering in the 7ème, near the Musée d’Orsay. I was there with my new friends, Scarlette and Sarah.
The apartment itself was incredible! Tall ceilings, terrazzo floors, right along the Seine, but what really stood out was the furniture.
Turns out, it was Hugo's exquisite work.
The pieces are designed around everyday gestures: sitting, leaning, resting, but interpreted in a way that feels elevated and intentional. There’s a balance of structure and softness, where architectural lines meet more organic textures and forms.
He invited me back the next day to see everything more clearly, outside of the party setting, and it completely changed how I experienced it. The pieces feel intentional and refined, with a strong focus on material and form.
Sharing a closer look at his work here.
My Paris dream life keeps happening again and again!
