What a difference a little color makes!
Lately, I have been trying to keep it simple with my day to day work wardrobe. I tend to be drawn to all black all of the time…but lately…with my new POV on life (we’ll talk more in depth about that later), I am trying to introduce a little color and lightness at work. Things have been so busy at my office…literally…I have someone sitting in my office nearly all day these days…back to back meetings…lots of planning…lots of organizing at my day job. I need to look good, feel comfortable and feel confident. Keeping it simple but attractive with a work outfit is the way to go.
During the day, I work at a corporate office…it is not super duper business like but I need to look pulled together. I can even wear jeans to the office but I need to look ready for a meeting at any time.
So today, I am wearing this bright blue long sleeve shirt, a black buttonless blazer, my favorite black jeans, open toe boots, a sparkle bracelet, a two toned belt and I am ready to go.
By the way, my keep it simple attitude is going to apply to all things moving forward. I have had so many thoughts and ideas and plans and jumbling together in my mind lately…I am going to take a step back this month and try to keep things simple. Focus on just a few things…shut out the not useful noise…and do the work.
Here is that same top in bright orange. I wore this last week!
KEEP IT SIMPLE
1. BLUE or ORANGE GUESS MARIE LONG SLEEVE TOP
2. RAG & BONE JEANS
3. BLACK JACKET – JAMES PERSE
4. SPARKLE BRACELET – J.CREW
5. OPEN TOE BOOTS
What are your solutions for keeping it simple in your life? Any work outfit tricks?
Happy Thursday!

You are so right! I love neutrals (you should see my house) and my clothes trend that way. I mean if I buy another taupe sweater! Geez! But when I break out of my comfort zone and wear a bright top, I’m often surprised by the number of compliments I get. Thanks for the reminder…I think I will wear an aqua blouse today!
