MY SISTER’S PATIO
This is an outdoor seating area I created for a party I threw last year for my sister, DS. This is the back patio of at her house in Bel-Air just off of Beverly Glen here in Los Angeles.
The goal was to take DS’s bare back patio and make it feel comfortable and inviting for guests who were coming for an evening party. We had about 70 people total both indoors and out.
It was relatively easy. Color scheme was brown, white, green and silver to blend in with the lush greenery in the small patio space. I grounded the two seating areas with chocolate sisal rugs. For seating, I used a combination of Barcelona chair knock offs and Barcelona couch knock offs and some round chocatate upholstered stools. I used small metal accent tables side by side to create the coffee table in each seating group. For accessories, I found pillows with a mod circular pattern, chenille throws from Pottery Barn and small votive holders with mint green candles.
Finally, I added in orchids everywhere.
Tip – I rented most of the furniture and bought all of the accesories (rugs, pillows, throws, candles, orchids etc.)
