Happy December 1st! I cannot believe the year is almost over! Love this time of year. Had a fantastic Thanksgiving with 25 people getting together at my cousins house…mostly family but also a few welcomed friends and now I am thinking about what my Christmas table will look like and thinking about New Years eve plans (travel is in the stars for me I think!).
Today, on this beginning of December, I bring you a stunning grand space showing off Mexico City style…Romita Comedor restaurant. Not holiday related but definitely a holiday gift of design inspiration!
As you know, I love a well designed space…whether it be a home, a hotel, a restaurant, or public space…I get so excited about seeing well planned out room and all of the details.
Apparently the owners of this old building that was designed like a train station way back when decided to gut it and create a space that blends vintage and modern.
The most striking part of the architecture are the high retractable ceilings and all of the pained glass windows. So beautiful. Second in line is the checkered black and white floor. Then everything in between…the dark gray walls, the vintage looking rustic wood furniture, the metal chairs and round tables, the industrial looking pendant lights and the plants growing throughout. I like this space. And I’ve read the food is great too!
May have to take a trip down to Mexico City to visit.
Happy December 1st!

Coco
P.S. I found my little “C” diamond necklace in my jewelry box over the weekend…C stands for Coco or, in honor of this month, the C could stand for Christmas! I think I will wear this pretty for the month! My sister doesn’t normally wear a necklace but during the month of December she always wears two very fanciful pieces! I love them. I will keep mine more simple I think…but maybe not…will keep you posted! .What holiday jewelry will you be breaking out this month?
I have the very same “C” necklace made with diamonds on a platinum chain. I never take mine off.
Happy holidays,
Celia
This place is incredible! Would love to have a long, great conversation over a nice meal.
