In today’s post, a 1940’s mid century ranch house is updated and gets a “country-industrial” makeover. The 1400 square foot home was transformed from an outdated bungalow into a 2000 square foot quaint but fresh home with a budget of $700,000 according to the feature article in the New York Times. The color palette is white, browns and blacks with Turkish kilim rugs, chalkboard walls, industrial metals and country accents like the rustic wood beam ceiling in the dining area, the clawfoot tub and country style iron bed.
I would call it mid-century ranch house modern country!
Happy Friday!

What a lovely house. That kitchen is literally the stuff of dreams. Hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to live somewhere like this one day right?! haha x
My favourite room is the kitchen because I have wood love, the exterior is beautiful too.
LOVE this home, and everything about it. From the chalkboard walls in the kitchen, to the cozy dining room, to the black claw foot bath tub. It’s perfect in every way!
Next summer I am planning to redecorate my house. It has a lot of unnecessary furniture and I just want to get rid of them. I spend most of the time cleaning and cooking, but that house above looks so nice and easy to maintain. It reminds me to the stories I have read in my childhood. That home is made with a divine taste. If I find I will use mid century furniture to get a serene and tranquil look at my home.
