I really love these two rooms. They do have a bit in common – gray tones and the hint of a metal finish (the silver leaf frame mirrors in the bedroom and the gold floor lamps in the living room below). Nicely done in my view!
What do you think of these rooms? Anything stand out for you?
Happy Thursday!

Coco
P.S. Thank the hundreds of you who have watched the latest COCOCOZY DESIGN GUIDE audio video post on a few design finds from my quick European vacation. Sorry for the typos and the editing glitches! Whooops. All of my 1st – grad school teachers are cringing with all of my blatant typos and the entertainment executive in me is shuttering at the 1970s nature of the whole post. Just found out that you cannot correct a video you post on YouTube! Oy vey. Well I hope you found the tour of the Ralph Lauren cafe and the quick images of the hotel with the sparkling lobby interesting nonetheless!
P.P.S. Note to self: remember last Note to Self about making sure to double check everything you post instead of forgetting or ignoring previous Note to Selfs (“Selfs” is not a typo here…just didn’t know how to make Note to Self plural….would it be Notes to Self or Note to Selves???) and constantly not double checking and constantly finding silly errors that then you forget to go back and correct and then new readers and old readers alike think “So strange that she would have this blog and chose to include so many typos or mistakes…or maybe she’s just not that smart?!@#$”. Hmmm…

not a fan of gold or brass but love everything else in the room. The lamps in the bedroom are fantastic.
I like the living room more than the bedroom, which is a bit too glam for me. Individual pieces are great however.
One question in the living room. I understand the way the shot is set-up but it looks as though the fireplace isn’t used either.
I love that bed!
Stunning! I adore dove grey. The bedroom is too fabulous. The bed is wonderful and I love the matching mirrors because they look like a one of a kind mirror, but then you have two matching. Cool! I’d have very nice dreams in this room…..
And, how cool are those butterflies! wow, never seen anything like it and I LOVE it! What a wonderful touch of bringing the outside in and not having to water!
I love the bed! I like the mixture…casually sophisticated.
I am totally in love right now with anything that has a silver sheen.
The more subtle, the better.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the bedroom! So glam but not overly done either… Those crystal lamps are insane.
Notes to self 🙂
Love the Living Room FAR more than the Bed Room. The painting in the Living Room draws you IN and creates a very calm vibe. Love the Living Room lamps, rug and colors too. In fact love the ENTIRE Living Room. Dream room.
where is the butterfly wall art from?
Love the painting over the fireplace, and yes, I’m loving grey walls too.
That glass and gold coffee table is beautiful.
I love the palette in both rooms, but I also think the living room is a little more approachable than the bedroom. I absolutely love the beer can butterflies installation by Paul Villinski in the bedroom–I really wanted to do one of these installations on a huge wall in my living room, but ended up doing something else. Maybe someday…
In case you’re interested the first room is from a Trad Home from a year or two ago. The entire house is done in silvery grays and is one of the moat beautiful I’ve ever seen in that publication. The second one is also a fave. I always liked the seating in that one. If I remember correctly that one was an a magazine cover as well. Amazing pics! Thanks for sharing!
That painting glows and the fireplace mantle is gorgeous. I love the pops of bright blue and purple.

Very elegant. I love gray, especially in a velvet.
aaw elegant home..loved it..:)
I was trying to figure out the butterfly thing when I did my nursery and found this http://www.babylifestyles.com/2011/05/creating-gossip-girls-butterfly-effect-in-your-nursery/
Love the second room, particularly the moody painting. Shades of gray look so chic.
Awesome room! Anyone know the bed where the bed comes from?
Yes! Please tell me where the bed is from! I’ve been searching and can’t find anything like it! The closest I’ve found it at Horchow, but it’s not the same.
