STRIPE HYPE FOR SPRING!

March 23, 2011

Sitting room with a white window seat with lacy cushions, a round wood table holding white hydrangeas in a yellow vase and two bright green, blue and turquoise striped armchairs
Photo: Elle Decor

Coming to realize as of late that I need a good stripe…I don’t have any strong stripes in my life right now. Last fall I bought a bunch of striped clothing and returned it, I started a post on horizontal striped walls and never finished it, I thought about designing a striped throw for the COCOCOZY collection but never got around to it…oh…I do have some striped pillows for my outdoor living room…but that is it on the stripes…I NEED MORE STRIPES IN MY LIFE!

Love the striped chairs in the photo above…they are the perfect accent to the bright little window seat area…the stripes liven up this alcove most definitely.

Stripes are cheery, springy, happy and all other good things ending in y. Stripes here I come.

Do you like stripes? Why or why not?

Strapless summer dress by Anthropologie with blue, yellow, grey and black stripes and a belted waist

Would you incorporate any of these multicolored stripes into your life? Do tell. I’m thinking that Kate Spade dress is awfully cute!

Happy Wednesday!

Since my son was born I have always bought him striped shirts. He is now ten and I still buy him striped shirts…wish I could have taken a picture every year at the same time with a favorite striped shirt. What I’m getting at is yes I love stripes and you can add polka dots to the mix. In fact the ladies at my local consignment call me stripes because of my fondness for them. Colorful, neutral, bright, pastel…doesn’t matter I love it all!

Stripes!!! Oh yes in fact black and white stripes are kind of a signature pattern of mine. Have always had them in my home, now in a green and white stripe in wallpaper for dining room and in my wardrobe in all kinds of colors. I pretty much have never met a stripe I don’t like. The Kate Spade dress you have pictured is so adorable and if I were younger and thinner it would be mine!!! Kathysue

I love stripes, too! I’m especially in love with the narrow little stripes in vintage ticking, and have them all over my house. I’m thinking about striping the walls of my family room, which has twelve foot ceilings, in wide, pale stripes, to take up some volume and to match the striped vintage French Riviera fabric pillows I have in there from assorted beach clubs. On clothes? I can’t live without stripes!

I love stripes! In fact I have the opposite problem of yours. I can get too carried away. My husband constantly asks me if I own anything other than a strip shirt!

I think my love of stripes is bordering on an obsession. I keep unintentionally adding stripes to my wardrobe, but haven’t done so as much with interiors yet-although I love the look. (I did purchase the striped West Elm shower curtain though).

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
