Stunning Staircase Entryways – Interior Inspiration

April 26, 2021
  • Share

Today is all about stunning staircase entryways. I was recently going through my inspiration archives and dug up a handful of my favorite staircases. These interiors have everything it takes to be a focal point – drama, impeccable design, and impressive architecture. Each of these four spaces is completely different from one and another and each holds an enviable amount of style. At the end I will share some outfit inspiration to make your staircase debut.

In the image above, the gold, teal, green, and red/orange tones all meld beautifully creating the perfect frame for the white staircase. And, who could forget about those floors? The detail is impeccable and beautifully balanced with a sense of minimalism.

The next stunning staircase entryway is inside a botanical-inspired home. The small part of me that has a green thumb is completely entranced by this cozy space. From the wallpaper to the molding, plants, artwork, and architecture this space is packed with charm. I love the that the stair runner still allows some of the white wood stair treads show on either side. The best part is definitely the quaint sitting area at the top of the staircase.

This staircase balances, crisp and clean with a traditional feeling. Feels like a combo of many styles in one…with the railing and the white paneled walls. Just a little whimsy is added in the gallery wall moment that leads your eye up the staircase.  The deep wood staircase, warm wood floors and white walls all work together to create an eye catching space.  Shows that you that high contrast can create good drama.

Lastly, we have a traditional yet grand staircase entryway. There is something so classic and timeless about this space.  The gold framed mirror and marble fireplace add the perfect addition of detail to highlight the architecture in this interior.

Your mom’s coming over and suddenly every room neeYour mom’s coming over and suddenly every room needs to be perfect. 🤣
Panic mode activated!
If you only have 10 minutes, focus on these three things:
1. Make the bed. It instantly makes the whole room look cleaner.
2. Fold or straighten the throw blanket and pillows.
3. Clear visible clutter from nightstands and the floor.
That’s it. Those three steps make the biggest visual impact without deep cleaning.
Save this for the next time you need a fast bedroom reset. 🔖

Black is not a bold choice. It’s a neutral, and one of the most versatile ones in design.
The rooms that get it right treat black the same way others treat white or greige: as a foundation that lets everything else breathe. The texture of the wall. The warmth of the wood. The drama of the marble. Black doesn’t compete, it amplifies.
Save this the next time someone talks you out of going dark. 🖤

Life when I’m offline. 🎣 On this trip to Park CitLife when I’m offline. 🎣
On this trip to Park City, UT, I was way off line with a little fly fishing. No emails. No DMs. No feed. Just a rod, a beautiful river, and however long it takes to catch something.
Running two brands means my brain rarely stops so when it does, it really does.
No fish were harmed. All fish were returned into the river.
What do you do when you log off? Comment and let's give each other some ideas!😀

15 things you don’t know about me 👋 1. I’m the fo15 things you don’t know about me 👋
1. I’m the founder of COCOCOZY, but design wasn’t my first career. I was a t.v. news reporter and then a t.v. executive.
2. I’m also the founder of a tech company, Chirpyest.
3. My work has been featured in Architectural Digest and House Beautiful.
4. I designed an entire Design House from scratch.
5. I’m obsessed with mixing vintage flea market finds with modern furniture.
6. Paris is basically my second home. I go every chance I get.
7. I once found a pile of rusty horseshoes at a flea market and turned them into decor.
8. Black and white is my go-to palette when I’m stuck on a design.
9. I am an expert at making a short story long! 😬
10. I believe a side table can make or break a room.
11. Kindness is genuinely one of my core values, not just a bio line.
12. I’ve been doing design and content long enough to have opinions on everything from rugs to real estate. 18 years!
13. I’m just as happy on a flea market hunt as I am at a design fair.
14. My camera roll is 70% room shots, 20% selfies (obsessed with skincare and fashion these days) 10% coffee in Paris cafés.
15. I started sharing all this because I love it, not because it was the “smart” thing to do.
Now you know a little more about the person behind COCOCOZY 🤍 Which one surprised you most? Tell me below.
