White Elephant
Nantucket’s historic harborside hotel and cottages have received a comprehensive makeover and restoration. From the foyer to the rooms and suites, guests will encounter a modern spin on classic Nantucket. Elkus Manfredi Architects, who is known for the multi-award-winning White Elephant Palm Beach, also designed the Nantucket location.
Life House
This hotel has a lot of history. Captain Robert Calder built a Federal-style home atop one of Nantucket’s highest points about 200 years ago. Now the inn has been renovated into a chic hotel that represents the coastal flare of New England. The hotel is decorated with sun-soaked rooms and raffia furniture and botanical rain showers. Making it the perfect summer hotel stay.
Hotel Pippa
Hotel Pippa is another new hotel. The hotel style has coastal decor with a creative blend of midcentury decor. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Nantucket, only minutes away from the island’s most intriguing galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and more
Jared Coffin House
Jared Coffin House is one of the most historic hotels. The style embodies the ancient whaling town, offering lovely accommodations and modern conveniences.
Things To Do In Nantucket
Summers in Nantucket are the best. It’s a popular vacation spot for CEOs, socialites, and even celebrities to escape the chaos of city life. I love exploring the town and discovering new restaurants like The Pearl and Topper’s. There are also so many cute sandwich shops and cafes for a morning coffee or tea!
If you’re feeling adventurous then you can rent bikes and explore the island. Take a walk at the Bluff Walk, a charming walking path that is lined with white seashells. The path leads all the way down to the Sankaty lighthouse.
For interior design admirers like myself, Nantucket is charming and has a lot of rich history. The quaint town is known for its architecture. There are over 800 pre-Civil War houses on the island. The cottages and summer homes are covered in beautiful blooming flowers during the summer.
Nantucket Summer Events
Nantucket by Design starts August 3 to 6, which features keynote discussions, panel talks, cocktail parties, an auction, floral design talks, and exclusive access to the Nantucket Summer Antiques Show. A great place to mingle with other home and design enthusiasts.
Book enthusiasts can visit the Nantucket Book Festival in June. The event offers the opportunity to engage with acclaimed authors like Louise Penny, Tiya Miles, and Sharon Stone.
The Plein Air Festival is from June 14 to 20, where artists capture the island’s natural beauty. This free event encourages observation from a distance and welcomes artists to submit their work in a competition.

I’m super excited to head back to the east coast. Last year I stayed at my friend’s beautiful home. I might be staying there again this summer. However, I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to stay at a hotel that’s within walking distance from town. That’s why I created this blog about the best hotels In Nantucket. I love the idea of staying at one of the historical hotels. Have any of you been to Nantucket before? Do you have any hotel recommendations? Would you rather stay at a newer hotel or plan your stay at a historical hotel?
