THIS OR THAT: OUTDOOR LOUNGING!

City balcony turned into a living room with a sectional sofa with a wire frame and matching arm chair and coffee table
A gorgeous city balcony outdoor living room with plenty of comfy cushions and gorgeous views. (above)

Ahhh…summer is here. Yesterday marked the official beginning of summer and I am thrilled. I plan to spend the summer working during the day and in my free time I’ll be working some more (such is the life having 2 full time things going on).  I do also plan to spend some down time though with friends and family (although I’m missing the family trip to Paris this year which also includes a jaunt over to Morocco…so sad I am missing out…!!!!). I also plan to spend a lot of time outside…soaking in the good weather, entertaining hopefully on my deck, taking a little time at the beach and for nice walks up and down the hills (some would call it hiking…I call it walking). Now don’t get me wrong…I am not an “outdoors woman”…I will not be climbing Kilimanjaro, or biking from Los Angeles to SF, or competitive sailing…but I will be outside…doing some activities and doing a lot of lounging.

Here are three outdoor spaces where I’d be happy to lounge. They are all in homes and they all say “Come put your feet up here!”. Which of these three outdoor living areas would be your ideal summer outdoor spot at home…?

A double wide backyard garden chaise lounge chair surrounded by plants
A double wide backyard garden chaise lounge with striped cushions looks like an inviting spot. (above)
modern pool lounge area with cushions that match the pool
A modern pool area lounge with bright turquoise cushions matches the bright blue pool! (above)

Hmmm…let me see which do I like best?  I love the city setting with the marvelous views but I think I love the backyard garden the best with the double wide lounge…very cozy I think.

Which of these outdoor lounging areas do you prefer?  City, garden or poolside?  Where will you be spending most of your summer?

Happy Friday!

I am with you, I like the “double-wide.” I have one similar to it. I love it, but my dog Bella loves it even more.

Hmm. Give me some water…cool cool water. SO if that striped doublewide is near a pool. Check. If not…I’m ditchin’ it for the real pool.

    I’m fickle that way.

I do love the city view!! I also can feel the coolness of the pool… in both cases I would adore lounging on the oversize chaise!

Poolside. I’m fair skinned, and prone to burning so the cover poolside option is the one for me!

If I have an outdoor living space like that then I don’t need to go visit a spa anymore. I love the blue outdoor lounge with a pool in front of it.

Wow, isn’t that turquoise lounge lovely? That and the pool looks very relaxing and perfect for a nice afternoon pool party. I believe it will also look good if there are outdoor umbrellas and furniture around the grass area that will match it.

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
