HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! I LOVE THIS GUEST HOUSE!

So…this is where I am staying while in New Orleans! Wow! Right? This time when visiting for Mardi Gras, FF and her wonderful husband CCF have once again graciously invited me to stay at their grand home called the Wedding Cake House. In past visits, I’ve stayed in an upstairs guest suite in the main house…this time, I am honored to be one of the first (not the first but one of the first) to stay in their newly remodeled guest/pool house. I LOVE IT. It is regally traditional on the outside and it is perfectly cool, modern, hip, posh and chic on the inside…with light wood paneled walls, an open kitchen with stainless cabinetry, a 5 star hotel style upstairs bedroom complete with fine linens and a gorgeous modern marble bath. There is so much natural light that streams in from the French doors…it makes the space constantly bright and cheery. I feel like I’ve been staying in a posh boutique hotel made just for me!

I’ve told FF and CCF they made one error here with this guest house. By making the guest house so chic and well appointed, guests may never leave! Lucky for them, I do have a flight out later today…but if I had known before coming how nice the guest house is, I may have not booked a return flight. Hee hee!

Here are just a few photos of my temporary home while in New Orleans.

The guesthouse’s beautiful modern living room and open kitchen. The white sectional sofa is covered in a durable indoor/outdoor fabric to withstand the traffic from guests and pool house use. Love the lucite waterfall coffee table and the silver floor lamp! (above)

More photos to come from New Orleans…an elegant ball, a colorful parade and more!

P.S. I know the WEEKEND PHOTO is normally just one picture…this weekend required an exception to the rule.

Wow, the walls in the living area are fantastic. A touch of rustic with a contemporary design.

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
