WHITE ON WHITE DECORATING!

March 30, 2011
  • Share

White kitchen with stainless appliances, three pendant lights and a hardwood floor
Got a nice surprise email the other day from San Francisco based interior designer Kriste Michelini.

In her email, Kriste said she was buying a COCOCOZY throw to giveaway on her own blog. This posh designer actually liked my throws so much and likes her readers even more that she was buying a COCOCOZY throw to give away? Wow! You can go to the Kriste Michelini blog and enter to win.

To be clear, this is not my own giveaway…this is someone else’s giveay…Kriste a designer and COCOCOZY reader is sponsoring this giveaway on her own. She’s buying a throw and giving it away to one of you!

Kriste also has a wonderful aesthetic by the way – she designed these two white on white spaces.  Loving the kitchen with the white Italian glass backsplash!  I know there are many of you who have criticized my love for white rooms….I know…I’m sorry if it offends…but I do still love a stark white room…crisp and fresh I think.
White kitchen with stainless appliances, a wood floor, long wood table and cream colored chairs. The entire room is surrounded by french doors leading outside
What do you think about this white on white decor?  Do tell.

Happy Wednesday!

I love white kitchens. They are clean looking and sterile in appeal, which is where I’d like my food prepared! What a huge, wonderful space.

What on earth is there to criticize about white rooms? Timeless and classic not to mention cheap and easy to update with colourful accessories…I absolutely love both of these kitchens, number 1 especially!

I also love white kitchens! I think the dark wood floor is essential though. It grounds the space and provides that needed contrast.

I agree with Janet above, the floor is what makes it. I Particularly like How the floor boards are well defined. I haven’t seen this before. What is that technique called. Normally floorboards seem to blend together. These are gorgeous, great texture.

Ever wondered what it feels like to have the Eiffe Ever wondered what it feels like to have the Eiffel Tower as your view? These 7 Paris spaces answer that — some hotel suites, some private residences, and each one framing it completely differently. 🫶

Classic Haussmannian grandeur on one end, sculptural modern interiors on the other; same iconic backdrop, seven entirely different ways to live with it.
