A MODERN ROOM WITH A VIEW!

November 17, 2009

Modern living room with floor to ceiling windows, two taupe sofas with yellow accent pillows, a Noguchi glass coffee table and a red Eero Saarinen Womb Chair
Floor to ceiling wrap around windows in a mid century modern home provide a great outdoor backdrop. The windows help highlight a bright living room that plays host to some modern furniture classics. A Noguchi glass coffee table and a red Eero Saarinen Womb Chair – both designed in the 1940s – are key to bringing simple modern style to this home’s living space. (above)

I like this room. Simple. Modern (am now thinking modern after this weekend’s festivities). Refreshing. The floor to ceiling windows are just right. I always believe there can never be too much natural light in a space…especially when the light comes along with gorgeous views. Love the trees and woods – perfectly framed by the slanted roof line. Love the muted whites, the taupe sofa and sectional, and the pops of yellow and reds – an effortless balance of color and neutrals. Ahhhh….

This room is perfect. It comes so close to my style. Connected to nature, modern, yet cozy and warm, uncluttered. Simplicity at its best. I couldn’t imagine another rug in there!

This room is so fun! I love the sporadic displays of yellows and reds throughout a more muted color palette.

I don’t think I would ever leave my home! I love when architects utilize nature as a part of their creations.

I was just in this store coco and the ladies behind the counter were so friendly! Great finds and fabrics and decent prices too. Also just a fun vibe with the open air feel.

Summer sale season is here, and we are not holding back. 👏
This is the time of year to finally grab those pieces you’ve been eyeing all season. The good news? Major markdowns are happening right now across some of the best brands.
Our tip: Shop with intention. Know your palette, know your fit, and choose pieces that work with what you already own, not just because they’re on sale.
We’ve already done the hard work and created a Summer Sale Shopping Board filled with our favorite finds. A Shopping Board is like your own storefront. It’s a curated collection of products you can shop yourself or share with others to earn when they purchase through your links.
✨ Want to make it yours?
Comment SALE and we’ll send you the link. Then just tap “Add This Board” to save it to your Chirpyest account. From there, you can shop the collection, share it with your audience, earn from your recommendations, and get cashback on your own purchases. 💛

A 90s home in Amman, Jordan, entirely remodelled by local artisans. Neo-Florentine bones, Levant-eclectic sensibility, arched passageways, and a flea-market-meets-commissioned-art collection that makes every wall feel intentional.
What makes it work: restraint where you’d expect excess, and boldness where you’d expect safety.
This is what happens when a home is built by people who actually know the place. 🖤
Save this, it’s a masterclass in culturally rooted design.

Panic mode activated!
If you only have 10 minutes, focus on these three things:
1. Make the bed. It instantly makes the whole room look cleaner.
2. Fold or straighten the throw blanket and pillows.
3. Clear visible clutter from nightstands and the floor.
That’s it. Those three steps make the biggest visual impact without deep cleaning.
Save this for the next time you need a fast bedroom reset. 🔖

Black is not a bold choice. It’s a neutral, and one of the most versatile ones in design.
The rooms that get it right treat black the same way others treat white or greige: as a foundation that lets everything else breathe. The texture of the wall. The warmth of the wood. The drama of the marble. Black doesn’t compete, it amplifies.
Save this the next time someone talks you out of going dark. 🖤

Life when I’m offline. 🎣 On this trip to Park CitLife when I’m offline. 🎣
On this trip to Park City, UT, I was way off line with a little fly fishing. No emails. No DMs. No feed. Just a rod, a beautiful river, and however long it takes to catch something.
Running two brands means my brain rarely stops so when it does, it really does.
No fish were harmed. All fish were returned into the river.
What do you do when you log off? Comment and let's give each other some ideas!😀
