So…rustic wood ceilings and TED Talk decision-making lessons. How do they tie together? Well they really don’t. I realize that I have to get better about making some decisions and choices in my life more quickly and efficiently and without regret or worry. In the case of rustic wood ceilings, I know it is not likely I will have these in a future home, but I do know I like a beautiful exposed wood ceiling. The decision is no for me personally in my home…but I can still say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this look and I would recommend it.
White washed, lightly stained, hammered, textured, paneling, shiplap, exposed wood beams…love the idea of seeing wood grain on the ceiling. It makes any space feel more earthy, charming and adds visual interest when you look up. Perfect for a country home, a mountain cabin or modern ski chalet, or even a fresh beach house.
Uh oh…I have already changed my mind. So much for the decision of not having exposed rustic wood ceilings in my future TBD home…I am choosing to keep an open mind…who knows…I might find the perfect house with the perfect ceiling.
Here are a few more…
In conclusion, I choose to love rustic wood ceilings. Do you?
Happy Monday!
