I am thrilled to feature this company today…it was one of those moments where you instantly feel connected to a cause and an organization that is making a difference. A few weeks ago at AM’s East Hampton party I was able to chat with Suzanne Colodny..she’s married to a friend of mine. Suzanne introduced me to her friend and we started talking about their wonderful company, My Beachy Side, that is helping underprivileged women establish steady jobs. I immediately told them I would share their company here because I was so impressed by the work. They work with local non-profits to employ hundreds of women all over the world, but specifically women in Southeastern Turkey near the Syrian Border. My Beachy Side is empowering women to share their story, their talents, and to begin to believe that they have value in the workforce.
They design hand-knit barefoot sandals, choker necklaces, and anklets that are fashionable and one-of-a-kind. I love them for summer accessories, especially here in LA…they graciously let me show off a few of my favorite styles, the Nomad Barefoot Sandal and the Hopiness Anklet…
I can’t help but support a fellow small businesses with a mission that we can all proudly stand behind…check out My Beachy Side and let me know which pieces you love too.
