The #BEHRBox Challenge is complete! I shared “part one” last week. (If you didn’t see it, be sure to check out the full story here). Today I’m showing off the final product. Every so often I get the bug for a new DIY project and when the opportunity came to participate in the #BEHRBox challenge I knew I needed to sign on. BEHR paints recently debuted their 2017 Color Currents line at Home Depot so the challenge was to use at least three items from the #BEHRBox of mystery items I received, with one being a 2017 Color Currents paint sample in order to create a last minute DIY project for the holidays. I immediately knew what I would do!
From the supplies provided, I painted the boxes with a combo of two colors in Behr Paints 2017 Color Currents Collection, ‘Close Knit’ and ‘Gold Hearted’. ‘Gold-Hearted’ was the base color I applied with the Wooster Pro brush, and then I sponged on ‘Close Knit’ using the Martha Stewart sea sponge cubes for the textured finish.
Once the boxes were dry I took them to a local florist, Clementine Floral Works, and worked with the owner to design a fall-friendly arrangement using dried flowers and hearty leaves.
I love the finished product! These flower boxes are made for outdoor or indoor and will last throughout the winter months beautifully…what do you think? Easy enough for your own DIY project this season right? Looking forward to having people over at the new house and using these flower boxes to decorate my new space too….and now back to our regular house hunt debacle of 2016.
