Day two of photos I took while at the Southern Style Now design conference last month in New Orleans. Today, my photos feature this bright white bold color bedroom from fellow blogger and interior design expert Paloma Contreras. She successfully runs La Dolce Vita blog and a Houston based interior design company – a totally talented #girlboss.
While at Southern Style Now, I sat on a blogger discussion panel with Paloma. It was great to see her and hear about how her business is growing.
Paloma’s design of this bedroom in the Southern Style Now show house was absolutely amazing…the one detail that I loved most was the De Gournay Chinoiserie wallpaper…genius idea! Canopy bed is made even more stunning with the wallpaper providing a pretty backdrop. The room feels open and airy and light..all the best bedroom qualities am I right?
The room was very symmetrical and balanced – with pairs of matching lamps, nightstands, wall mirrors, and garden stools. Everything had its place, but still the the design was elegantly creative with the sparkling chandelier, touches of metallics and bright bold pinks, hues of fuchsia and purples….I loved it! Typically I steer towards clean, modern lines, but the whimsy in this room definitely held its own….
Alright now the moment of decisions…which room was better…this one or the bedroom from yesterday’s post? Which design did you like or gravitate towards more? Which bedroom could you see in your own home?
