Well, I still wanted to do something on this 3800 square foot, 4 bed, 4.5 bath Santa Monica family home so I picked the dining room. Mainly, because I saw that beautiful bubble chandelier.
Saarinen chairs, Kelly Wearstler fabrics, and updated blues with mid-century influence will grab anyone’s attention. This dining room, inspired by the ocean, perfectly captures the cool tones of the sea – refreshing and refined all in one. But, the brushed nickel and clear glass Bubbles Chandelier by Regina Andrew brings the waves and movement of the ocean inside the home.
The bubble chandelier makes a huge decorative statement with a bit of lively fun – talk about the perfect dinner party conversation starter.
What’s A Bubble Chandelier?
A bubble chandelier is a ceiling light made up of a cluster of hand-blown clear or colored glass globes. These chandeliers can be a perfect addition to a dramatic dining room (shown above) or even a bathroom, adding a touch of whimsy and playfulness while still making a decorative statement.
The bubble chandelier trend has been around since its conception in 2008, but it shows no signs of slowing down. I see so many interior designers incorporating these chandeliers into their designs, and new variations are continuously being introduced. The trend was reformed in 2022, and it has only grown in popularity since then. Designers like Julie Neill, Jean & Oliver Pelle, and Jeremiah Brent use these fixtures, even in their own homes. And by the way, I’m obsessed with it too!
So, we went on a hunt for the best bubble chandeliers around with a wide range of price points. Here they are!
One reason why bubble chandeliers have become increasingly popular in interior design is their versatility. They can be a perfect fit for various spaces, from modern to rustic to eclectic. One of my favorite uses can be found in The Parlor of Morris Adjmi’s New Orleans Home. The variety of size and shape of each cluster allows for a unique personality to fit perfectly in any space. Every room feels lighter and more inviting through these abstract and soft fixtures.
Sleek but Cozy Dining
Chicago based designer Julie Howard transformed this dining area through the Talia Pendant Light. My eye went straight to the fixture. The circular glass allows for a nice juxtaposition between the vertical nature of the room, from the windows to the rug. The mix of the dark wood with the clear globes and gold chain of the Talia bubble chandelier is fresh and light. The bubble chandelier definitely brightens this room. It really is breathtaking and compliments the overall design. The chandelier gives a dynamic and comfortable energy to the family meals or a casual girls dinner.
Eccentric and Lively
When I stumbled upon this dining area by Hundley Hilton Interiors one word came to mind: fun! The short and opaque bubble chandelier perfectly compliments the bright interiors, especially that amazing white shellac table. The difference in textures create the perfect blend between masculine and feminine in this adorable pink and teal kitchen. When paired with the bubble chandelier, it feels almost like an upscale fantasy land. The room is already exciting, with its use of bright colors and 80s inspired furniture, but the bubble chandelier adds a unique modern touch.
Inviting Breakfast Nook
I love the accent that this bubble chandelier adds to this small breakfast nook. The shape of the fixture is different from the usual bubble chandelier because of the way it hangs. The globe lights descend from several steel lines, creating the perfect chandelier. The bubble chandelier provides a fantastic break between the red and green tones of the overall space. The fixture fits perfectly in the space and adds an amazing visual.
Now, I have to ask: what do you think of bubble chandeliers? Do you love them as much as I do, or do you prefer more traditional lighting fixtures? Let me know!

I love that chandelier too! Did they have any pics with it lit up? I can imagine it but would love to see it.
I’ve been seeing these for a year now and never really quite felt like a fan until I saw a version in an all black or charcoal room. I think a darker somber surrounding really makes the concept and design come to life!
I believe the dining chairs are Saarinen, not Eames. This is a beautiful install and the chandelier really ties everything together!
Beautiful room! Do you know who makes the curtain fabric?
It is Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa Channels fabric.
