Cabin Mountain Home Kitchen Remodel

February 13, 2018
  • Share

It might be sunny here in California, but I still have winter mountain vibes on my mind!

This Park City Canyons kitchen remodel by Studio McGee is a gorgeous example of how to take an outdated ski home and transform it into a stylish, cozy mountain destination. This isn’t totally my style, but I love the use of traditional warm colors and bright whites to really give this home some life — while still keeping that rustic cabin feel!

First, let me show you what this space looked like before the transformation (above). As you can see, the dull browns and blacks were not allowing this kitchen to live up to its full potential. Time for some love!

Boom! Literally day and night compared to what they started with.

The team kept a lot of the original design but made a couple significant changes (like cabinet color and replacing the island) that truly made all the difference.

Loving the white tile combined with industrial light fixtures.

The designers utilized the original black counters to contrast the bright white counters and cabinets.

This is a Studio McGee Benu Dining Table which I think would make a great addition in almost any kitchen as it’s basic enough to complement other types of furniture.

The cozy but bright colors really make the original wood beams pop!

Feeling inspired?? You can shop items that offer the same mountainy feel (below) — and hey, maybe you can snag some cabin gear for yourself!

I always look on in envy at how big everyones cookers and ranges are. I only dream of having so many rings to cook on!
