Is there anything more New Years than glitter and sparkles? I am not talking about what you wear to go out or stay in on Dec. 31st…I am talking about sparkling for the entire new year of 2019.  Whether casual everyday or going out for a big night, your outfit doesn’t have to be the only thing that shines this next year.  I was in NY earlier this month and my friend A.Ro, showed up to a party with her hair adorned in fabulous sparkling bobby pins on one side.  It was so chic and festive.  Simple but cute.

Time for another micro makeover!

I found these iron chairs at the Long Beach flea market years and years ago. I can’t remember exactly, but let’s say they were $100 for the pair. They were purple and pretty beaten up, but had great lines.

With a little love and inspiration from my favorite Casamidy, I was able to get these chair living room ready!

Things are coming together over here in Beverly Hills!

Many of you may remember my old patio from my tiny cottage in Hollywood Hills — and now I’m taking elements of that space and incorporating it into my new oasis!

Welcome to my personal sweet spot… the upstairs patio of my home that is nestled in the hills and surrounded by beautiful palm tree views. An instant calm!

My best of friend FF and her hubby CCF have a beautiful mountain house outside of Vail, Colorado.  She has invited me there a few times this winter to spend time with my godson CGF.  I haven’t been able to make it but I want to go.  Their house is stunning.  They just completed the remodel with a very famous decorator and now are looking into the finishing touches.

FF’s mountain house got me thinking about what it would be like to entertain there and how I might set a table…needs to be chic but fitting for this beautiful mountain setting…got me going down rabbit hole searching for rustic flatware suited for a ski chalet in Beaver Creek…here’s what we found.

I never really wore jewelry in the past…except for some pretty diamond earrings I wear every day… Lately, though, I have been accessorizing. A ring here, a necklace there, or a sparkling bracelet added in on daily basis to complete a look. I also do not believe all jewelry has to be 100% real…pretty costume jewelry can do the trick.

Happy New Year once again…I am going to start off the year talking about nesting tables?  Is that weird?   Should I be talking about larger design and style “issues” at the beginning of the year…trends, design debates etc…or should I talk about nesting tables.  I think I will talk about nesting tables…

Who doesn’t love a set of metal nesting tables?  I have some painted white nesting tables (they are in storage, since I am currently without a home), my sister has some silver modern nesting tables, I think my best of friend AM has nesting tables too.
