interiors The art of maximalism can be challenging to master. There is a thin line between a space feeling inspired or overwhelming. These office spaces are filled with saturated colors and fun patterns but do so in a tasteful and refined way. The interior above was designed by G.P. Schafer, a New York-based architectural firm founded in 2002 by Gil Schafer. The office space is actually Gil’s personal office within G.P. Schafer’s New York office. The design is inspired by Gil’s interests and years of collecting both furniture and art.

interiors I’m back today with an unseen room from the COCOCOZY Design House: The Office Den. When I first saw the COCOCOZY Design House I immediately knew I wanted this room to be a den due to its architecture. This space is one of my favorite rooms in the house for its creative and stunning small space design. There is something I love about the challenge of making the most out of a small space without it being cluttered or overwhelming. Now onto the interior.
Today I bring you a small room makeover! Running my own company from home, I need a place to write, strategize, plan and manage every aspect of the business. Command central of sorts! The challenge was finding some place to put an office. I have already decorated almost every inch of my current home! Well after much hemming and hawing, I thought I would try to put the office in this little corner. The space is only 44 inches. I used a desk with a marble top as the centerpiece. This space makeover proves you do not need a lot of square footage to create a functional and good looking space! A friend of mine said this makeover might inspire a few parents too who are looking for places to set up their kids for the next few months for home school!
My favorite items are the acrylic office wall system – I will make lots of use of the dry erase boards. I love the functionality and the look. I spend a good part of my days happily working from this pretty little spot at home!

home Today’s mission: Figure out a cute office design for the head of the department at my day job. As many of you know, during the day, I work as an executive at a big corporation and by nights, early mornings and weekends, I blog and design. A few months ago, the department head, knowing that design is my passion, asked me to look at her office and her help her figure out an arrangement with a round table as a desk. Her current office is filled with standard company furniture she inherited from the person who had the office before her. It is bland. She described her style as modern. With little design information, except that she wanted something really modern, with a round table as a desk, I had the COCOCOZY team put together a few office design inspiration board thought starters.
I asked the COCOCOZY team to start off with a classic mid-century modern white Saarinen tulip table as inspiration. Here are some sleek modern office design ideas.
