Anyone who knows me knows my love for champagne…so naturally, when in France it’s required to visit the Champagne wine region and taste the Best champagne Paris has to offer. My mom, sister and I took a chauffeured private tour to the Champagne region, about an hour and a half outside of Paris. The views are spectacular honestly, so peaceful and full of life and such a necessary departure from the busy-ness of LA. We drove down the ‘Boulevard of Champagne’ which is basically the Who’s Who of Champagne, all of these ‘little’ palaces in a row…of course I don’t have any photos because the driver wouldn’t stop along the way…he didn’t understand that I needed photos to share with all of you!
We also had the opportunity to tour the Reims Cathedral which was breathtaking. It was overwhelming truly…you see these places in pictures but being right in front of them, in the midst of them, is an entirely different experience.
Loved being in the quiet countryside
The Reims Cathedral was stunning…such an iconic and historical building and even more amazing inside…loved being able to tour the Reims Cathedral on this trip…

Ok the grape vines were great but where are your pictures of Paris!! I,m sure all your blog followers want to see! It is so special you are spending time with your Mom and sister. Even though my sisters and I are Drs and Lawyers we never find time in our schedules to go out of the country. You are lucky, please share more!
Did you get to Epernay? It’s such a lovely town. Did you go to Mercier? It’s awfully nice to go to a small producer, too. Mercier and Moet et Chandon are a little over the top but very fun.
We did go to Epernay. It was so lovely! Missed Moet et Chandon. Will have to go next time!
I loved Reims too! Such a wonderful side trip, especially if you are a Champagne lover. The Cathedral was one of the most amazing places we saw our whole trip and the caves are fascinating!
