Sea Grass Wingback Chair
Pottery Barn – Sea Grass Wingback Chair – $499 (above)

I like a good wingback chair.  I remember my first roommate out of college had one – RK was from Newport, RI and I think I recall her having a rather preppy wingback chair that she brought to our apartment in Boston.

Even the smallest of wingback chair is a little large for my tiny tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills…but one day, I’ll have room for a rather grand pair of wing chairs.

In today’s CHEAP TO CHIC, I bring you the top 10 wing chairs out there today!

Wingback chair with soft curves, solid wood legs with chocolate stain finish
West Elm – Ellery Chair – $499 (Wingback chair with soft curves, solid wood legs with chocolate stain finish)(above)

Unica Home – Park Lounge Chair – $2817 (Steel base modern wing-back chair)(above)
Gray velvet wingback light wood legs
South of Market – Pair of Noella Wing Chairs – $5980 for 2 (Gray velvet, light wood legs) (above)
Muslin upholstered wingback chair
Oly Studio – Halden Chair – $3525 (As shown upholstered in muslin. Base comes in a variety of finishes) (above)
Feather grey hide upholstered wing back chair
Alice Lane Home – Brindle Hide Chair – $3695 (Feather grey hide upholstered wing back chair)(above)

Do you like this style of chair?  If so, which is your favorite? I would have to go with the grey Noella chair.  Which do you prefer?

Happy Tuesday!

I think you get the most bang for your buck with the West Elm chair. Well designed, nice lines, and the most expensive fabric option tops out at only $599.

Love the PB one for a more laid back house or beach house and the RH one is a classic.

Great selection…I have a grey-brown velvet wingback that’s very similar to the South of Market chair (mine’s the Hamlin Chair by Sam Moore). I love it!

Streets of #Paris. 📍 Rue de Castiglione — Laid ouStreets of #Paris. 📍
Rue de Castiglione — Laid out under Napoleon in the early 1800s, this neoclassical street connects Place Vendôme to the Tuileries Garden in one clean, symmetrical line.
Place de Furstenberg — A tucked-away square in Saint-Germain-des-Prés that was once home to the painter Eugène Delacroix, and still feels like little has changed.
Les Antiquaires on Rue du Bac — A street with centuries of history, now best known for its cluster of antique dealers trading in furniture, paintings, and curiosities.
Musée du Louvre — Built as a medieval fortress in the 12th century, it became a royal palace, then the world’s most visited museum, home to the Mona Lisa and tens of thousands of other works.
Église Saint-Sulpice — Paris’s second-largest church, with a gnomon installed inside to track the sun’s position and help calculate the liturgical calendar.
Les Deux Magots — The Saint-Germain café where Simone de Beauvoir, Sartre, and Hemingway once gathered, and a lasting symbol of Paris’s literary culture.
Place Vendôme — Commissioned under Louis XIV, this octagonal square is anchored by the Vendôme Column, cast from cannons captured at the Battle of Austerlitz.
Shops, people, and buildings that make you stop for a second and look up. Every corner feels different. Old, detailed, and full of life. Sometimes this is the best part. Just being here. ❤️

Nour Arida’s (@nouraridaofficial) Paris apartment Nour Arida’s (@nouraridaofficial) Paris apartment was designed to feel like a little piece of Beirut — a pied-à-terre that keeps her connected to Lebanon while living in France.
Architect Carl Gerges @carlgergesarchitects built the whole interior around warmth and softness: a caramel sofa, a pink kitchen, milky whites throughout. Nothing sharp, nothing cold. The palette reads as indulgent without trying. It’s the kind of space that feels like it was chosen for comfort first and aesthetics second, even though both are clearly considered.
What’s easy to miss is the restraint underneath it all. The softness works because it’s disciplined. Every piece earns its place in the same tonal story.
→ Save this if you’re building a warm, tonal interior from scratch.

Why do Paris apartments feel so much better than e Why do Paris apartments feel so much better than everything else?
While living in this cute 3 bed 2 bath apartment in the 6ème, I realized it comes down to a few things done really well:
• High ceilings
They create space without adding anything
• Herringbone wood floors
Classic, subtle, and never go out of style
• Crown molding + ceiling medallions
The detail that quietly elevates the entire room
• Interior French doors
They give you openness and separation at the same time
• Natural light
The one thing you can’t fake
I’m staying in this adorable pied-a-terre for a two months. It is my sister and brother in law’s place; they invited me to cozy up here on my own while they are back home in LA.
Every room keeps proving the same point. It’s not about adding more. It’s about getting the foundation right.
If you could only bring one of these Paris apartment design elements into your home, which one would it be?
