CHIC SHOP – DESIGNING A VINTAGE BAR!

Chic Shop LA – Folding Bar Table – $325 (Bamboo folding table with rattan tray top)(above)

Fab L.A. interior designer Hillary Thomas opened her own little shop awhile back…it is appropriately called Chic Shop.

I haven’t had a minute to stop by the shop yet even though it is not too far from where I work.  I have had a chance to pop over to the Chic Shop online store where I have fallen in love with many of the vintage finds.

Loving these vintage bar finds. Would love to pull out these bar classics for a little summer cocktail hour on my deck…hmmm…if I had a minute…I just might have a party.  Note to self…find a minute to take a breath, reconnect with friends and have a little celebration.  A cocktail party…on my summer to do list definitely!

Glass carafe with blue and gold pine cone detail
Vintage glass pitcher – $85 (Glass carafe with blue and gold pine cone detail)(above)
Vintage gold ice bucket with stand
Vintage gold ice bucket with stand – $95 (above)

What are you summer plans as far as entertaining goes? Which of these items might you use?

Happy Monday!

I LOVE the silver goblets and the vintage champagne bucket. A good friend of mine gave me a silver and gold bucket and stand that I keep in my dinning room at all times and just adore. I love entertaining and think the little details are always what make a room.

Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just full, total, committed red.
From crimson kitchens to scarlet bathrooms, swipe through the spaces that prove one color is always enough.
Which one would you live in? 🔴
Save this for when you’re finally ready to commit.

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
