Okay…am just about to set my table again for tomorrow. The photo above is from this past Thanksgiving…I hadn’t posted it yet but think it may give you some inspiration and me some inspiration too! I have about 10 people coming over for Christmas Eve. This year it is at my house but luckily I do not have to do much cooking because my mom and aunt are making everything. My mom was born in Haiti so they decided to cook traditional Haitian dishes for our Christmas Eve feast. So excited to see what they prepare! I don’t have to do much regarding food so that is fabulous. My job is to make a pretty table, make a salad, make a sweet potato pie, and leave the rest of the cooking to them! It’s going to be so nice to have an intimate holiday dinner with my close family. Christmas Day will be more low-key.
I think I might just repeat the Thanksgiving look for Christmas Eve too! Here are 4 other tablescapes I pulled together for past holidays. I usually layer some patterns, add in simple florals and something in the centerpiece like pinecones to bring in the holiday spirit.
Tablescape Inspiration
I just got my Christmas tree a week ago…last minute. I love Christmas and celebrating with family but I almost said no to a Christmas tree this year. I am so happy I got one. I decked it out with ornaments that are metal and sparkled. Specifically, brass, silver, mirrored sparkles, lots of little bells, and even a special ornament I got in Santa Fe. It was painted by a Navajo artist. It’s so beautiful! Next year I will incorporate more personal family ornaments from years past. Still have to dig those out of my mom’s garage.
Anyhoooo…I am sharing all of this with you, in hopes that it gives you a little very last-minute holiday decor inspo. Or if you should decide not to decorate and just live…that is great too! Wishing you a peaceful holiday season…decorated or undecorated…the most important thing is I wish you much love and good cheer.
