Excited to share this classic bedroom from my one night whirlwind visit to DC last week….remember, the White House?! I stayed at the Hay Adams hotel. The Hay–Adams’ slogan is “Where nothing is overlooked but the White House.” It was bought and renovated in 2001 and again in 2010 and it is absolutely fabulous. I like it there because it is right across from the White House. Not too far from where I lived in DC when I was in graduate school.
I loved the toile and stripes, and the soft color palette in this room was so calming. Pale sage green, beige, and of course my favorite shades of crisp white. Traditional, simple, elegant, and perfect for a 24 hour stay…wish it could have been longer but now I know I need to come back. When the White House is your neighbor it makes the hotel pretty unforgettable….wish me luck as the Christmas shopping continues…10 more days until showtime for the holidays. I’m sharing more from the Christmas party I went to on the blog this week…talk about festive holiday spirit, this party was absolutley fabulous, more to come later!

I love the colour used in the bedroom. So soft and warm creating a homy feeling away from home..
