Coco In France: Wisteria Blooming Close Notre Dame in Paris

The best time to visit Paris is in the late spring. Paris is covered in flowers–pale pinks and purples that create an enchanting atmosphere. It almost feels like you’re in a fairytale. While in Paris, I came across this restaurant that was covered in wisteria. Its full bloom only lasts a few weeks, but I found a few vines that started to bloom. The best time to see wisteria at its peak is from late April to early May. Wisteria is known to be a very fragrant flower. It’s almost hard to miss.

About Wisteria

Wisteria is in the legume family that is made up of twining vines. It’s known to grow quickly and aggressively, covering large areas which make it hard to remove. There are many different types of wisteria that can be found all over the globe including in Japan and China.

This colorful cafe is located near the Notre Dame Cathedral. The church is known for its gothic architecture and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris. In 2019, the attic caught fire and burned most of the roof of the 19th-century structure. The church is currently being restored.
