When we arrived to the gorgeous resort (just a quick flight from LA!), our room wasn’t ready so we went straight to the spa for welcome massages before practically skipping down to the pool. I know, tough life!
Because we knew we were booked for a room with a garden view, we asked if there were any options to upgrade to one with a view of the ocean. We hadn’t even seen our room yet and we were already wanting something “better.” Who did we think we were?!
While doing a tour with the butler of possible alternatives, we stopped by Villa 5 — a gorgeous oceanfront suite with several rooms, its own pool, and so much more. The tour started with walking through a dreamy courtyard with a colorful glass door. We opened the door and saw floor-to-ceiling windows with view of the clear blue ocean. Needless to say, our jaws were on the floor.
…That’s when we found out that Villa 5 is $7950 a night!!! Arghhhhh! Wow!
Obviously, we stayed in our original room which ended up having a view of the ocean anyway with a little garden in front. Perfectly lovely. And not even close to the price of Villa 5! I wonder why we were so determined to upgrade before seeing what we even had. A simple reminder to be more appreciative of what’s in front of us before we go jumping to the next thing.
Regardless, the tour was really fun to see all the different decor. I love snooping around for new ideas!
Take a peak at some of my favorite shots from the trip and the property (below)!
Now that we’re all craving another vacay… here are some of my beach essentials (below)!
I couldn’t recommend Las Ventanas more. While it is not lost on me that trips like these are a luxury, I wish an experience like this for everyone. I hope you enjoy this fun glimpse into our much-needed girls trip!
xo!
Coco, I want your life! Well, except for that day job thing. I want to be able to say, “I’ve been there 3 or 4 times.” Nice to visit a place often enough to lose count. And 8K for ONE NIGHT! If I paid that I would stay in the room 24/7 to get my moneys worth! My daughter is a travel blogger and gets rooms free for a write up, wondering if she could pitch that resort…. Even though you are mainly a design blogger, with your following you should be able to get some freebies from your content. If you don’t already, you should pitch your blog on your next trip. That pebble mosaic walkway is my favorite!
