TOTO has been committed to providing comfortable living spaces, while always protecting the planet and its water, for over a hundred years — so I’d definitely say they’re experts! I love how Japan’s rich artistic heritage in pottery and porcelain is present in every product!
I went to the TOTO showroom in West Hollywood to check out some of my options and I’ve decided to go with chrome TOTO fixtures, faucets, and accessories for the bathrooms.
I know the planning/pre-installation phase isn’t the most glamorous — but that’s life, isn’t it?! These photos might not be the most exciting, but this is my reality right now! Boxes on boxes on boxes.
Here are the highlights of what I have spec’d out (below)!
I am particularly excited about TOTO’s latest design — the Aimes Widespread Lavatory Faucet & Accessories collection. We are using the faucet in the powder room and a mix and match of all of the bath accessories in the master bath. I’m a huge fan of the slender silhouette of these faucets that puts a modern twist on a classic design.
Something about these accessories reminds me of elegant equestrian tack and gear… timeless!
Years ago, TOTO reached out to me about doing a story about their high tech, beautifully designed Neorest toilet. At that time, I was not in need of a new toilet so I declined. This time around, I thought, why not put the best of the best modern toilets in my first COCOCOZY Design House!
The toilet is sleek and compact which will be perfect for our master bath that is a little tight on space. The toilet does everything — bidet like function, seat warms, air freshens, and even cleanses in a way that minimizes need for chemical cleaners. And yes, it flushes, ha! Best of all, it meets CalGreen and EPA water efficiency requirements!
When this massive and beautiful drop-in cast iron tub arrived on site, I was so in awe. On the website all you see is the inside of the tub but as it turns out, the profile of the tub is just gorgeous. It is beautiful. The tub is meant to be boxed in and surrounded by tile…but it has feet…so I got thinking and decided it is too beautiful to be boxed in (just like you!). Now, the idea is that I am going to treat it like a classic standalone tub. We are going to paint the bottom white and place it in the master bath against a (I think) marble tile wall and lovely white floors and tahdah…a new use for a TOTO classic!
I have all of my TOTO fixtures in house and they are getting installed slowly but surely. We are trying to complete this project by the end of July!!! Would love to share the big reveal with you soon!
Sending thanks again to my fabulous bathroom plumbing fixtures and accessories partner, TOTO USA! So excited to be working with such a venerable brand!
Stay tuned for the next update!
