COCOCOZY EXCLUSIVE: HIGH GLOSS MAGAZINE NEW ISSUE PREVIEW!

June 16, 2011
  • Share
A sneak preview of the next issue of High Gloss Magazine! (above and below)

Good morning! I am so thrilled to share with you a sneak preview of the next High Gloss Magazine due out next week!

These photos are of a room shot for High Gloss Magazine’s next issue…a fantastic space designed by the talented Melissa Warner of San Francisco based interior design firm Massucco Warner Miller.  The photos were taken by renowned interiors photographer Grey Crawford.

Love this window seat…a daybed upholstered in a fab fabric.  The pops of fuchsia throughout are fantastic.  I can’t wait to see the rest in High Gloss next week.

If you are not aware and haven’t seen High Gloss Magazine yet, you should definitely check it out.  High Gloss is a fab online shelter mag launched earlier this year by its amazing Editor-in-Chief Paloma Contreras and her team.  This “online glossy” magazine is a true treat to read featuring great interior design with a dose of fashion, travel and a little more added in.  Recently High Gloss was featured in a New York Times piece about the rise of the online home decor magazines!

Anyhoooo…you can still go to the High Gloss site and see the past issues…and for more of new issue and more of this space, make sure to mark your calendars for next week!

What do you think about this living room?  I’m loving the expansive window, all of the visual textures in the room and the bursts of fuchsia!

Happy Thursday!

xo
Coco

P.S. You can also follow High Gloss Magazine on Facebook to keep in the know about their latest issue and much more.

P.P.S. You might ask (or may not), “Coco…how were you to come by a sneak peek of High Gloss Magazine?”  Well I saw mention of the next issue and another little preview on Facebook yesterday (Facebook being the place where everything seems to happen in the world) and I just emailed nice Paloma (the High Gloss Editor-in-Chief) and asked if I could get a sneak.  She said yes…and tah dah…here we are!  Paloma has been so kind to me and COCOCOZY…she’s shown a few COCOCOZY textiles in past issues and has been so supportive.  Thank you Paloma!  Can’t wait to see the next issue next week!

It’s gonna be a Doozy of an issue. Doozy meaning “greatest thing on the face of the earth” in my humble opinion!

I guess I will be the one to burst this bubble. If this is good design then the world of interiors is in serious trouble. Bad misuse of mixed patterns, bad placement of underscaled arwork just to name a couple of things. And I bet when the rest of this room is revealed it only gets worse. This is what the world of retail decorating is doing to interiors. And it has nothing to do with budget, just insecure decorators being led down the wrong path.

Loved it Coco! thanks for sharing it to us!! To phillip.. I think design is just as the wine.. “the best one is the one you like” and rules are sometimes made to be broken! I love the combination of patterns and the joy this room transmits..

The room is very pretty. A little trendy but still very pretty.

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.
Save this for your next build or renovation inspo and follow for more. 🖤

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍

The best parts of Paris might not be on your itineThe best parts of Paris might not be on your itinerary. 🇫🇷
Some of my favorite travel moments are the ones you don’t plan: the pretty street you turn onto, the café you notice while walking by, the building you stop to look at for no particular reason.
So if you’re planning a Paris trip, don’t fill every hour. Leave room to wander.
