COLOR WATCH – FUCHSIA AND HOT PINK

What better way to celebrate spring than a little bit of fuchsia and hot pink!  Why not take one room in your home and go all the way with wall color and accessories?  I’m not a pink person…best of friend AM is certainly into pink…over the years I’m finding that I’m gravitating towards pink more and more…in concept for now…wonder if I’ll be daring enough to actually using this bold combo of fuchsia and hot pink in my home!

Do you have any fuchsia or pink strategically placed in your home or in your wardrobe?

May have to consider moving away from neutrals to a little pop of pink!

Happy Monday!

P.S.  Had a great brunch with AG yesterday at the Soho House.  Nice to catch up!

P.P.S.  My dear mother came by this weekend…to review the new floors at my house.  I got the stamp of approval!  Phew!

P.P.P.S.  First full weekend at home (last weekend spent a half weekend at home and the rest of the time at TE’s).  This weekend was very relaxing and I was a bit under productive.  Ended up one night watching a show on Bravo called Married to Medicine.  There was a scene were grown ladies in ball gowns literally started pulling each other’s hair out in a fist fight….it was kooky.  Lost brain cells watching the show…a guilty pleasure!

P.P.P.P.S.  Got the cutest phone call from New York the other day from best of friend AM’s 3 year old daughter LE.  She called me to say hi and to ask me to send her chewable vitamins like the ones she had at my house when they all came to stay last year.  LE wanted the vitamins right away and when I explained to her I lived in California and I couldn’t get the vitamins to her right away.  She then said she would just come visit me then!  Such a cutie!

Three is the best age of all! I like the hot pink and fuchsia–just not in my house except if the fabric were a fragment of old Fortuny.
    Have a great week.

What a brilliant selection of photo’s. I’m always so inspired by home design. The structure, materials and colours in these shots really hit the mark. How cool is that first chair!

I’m not baby-pink fan (interiors and fashion), but I could picture myself strolling beautiful Parisian or Mediolan streets in pink/fuchsia dress, I also adore Kartell – Frilly Chair( both pictured above).. would I prefer it in other colour? perhaps royal blue or kelly green would suite me better..I love livingroom with pink pillows, colours work very well together.. and least but not last.. photo of the pink-walled bedroom is a perfect inspiration for my daughter’s bedroom.. it’s exact colour combo we were looking for! Thank you 🙂

Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
