Okay…I want to start off by saying the wall of windows and the stunning tropical garden view in this modern living room are the show stoppers. The wall of lush green vegetation is stunning and captivating. The plants and trees create a living tableau…a beautiful backdrop for the entire room.
After a second and third glance at this space, I did notice that the room also had two surprising interior design elements…the first is the ceiling mounted long black hanging fireplace (above) an the second is the cool floating staircase (pictured below).
Decor is good…view is spectacular…hanging fireplace and floating staircase are smashing design surprises!
What do you think is the best element of this room?

absolutely breathtaking! imagine to live there. like everything about this room:)
I absolutely love all the windows and floating stairs. This is exactly what I’d like my living/family room to look like once my kids are older. I think the stairs wouldn’t be so safe for the little ones 🙂
In love. Totally my taste. I didn’t see the FP until you pointed it out. A little skeptical of the futuristic floating stairs but would love to chill in the ever so comfy looking sectionals. A life-size terrarium.
This room offers such a great atmosphere with its amazing vertical space. I also love the floating fireplace and wood stairs but the best design element to my opinion is the glass passerelle that floats above the living room…Very dramatic!
That is an amazing room! I love those high windows and serenity the clean lines give. Love!

I love the layering of design that happens in this room….the lush outdoor greenery, the huge doors, the floating fireplace, then the furnishings. It keeps on giving!
Beautiful place, but I am curious how those stairs meet building codes. They would never fly here in Boston. Wondering where this home is located.
the best thing to me about this space, on top of how fabulously breath taking it is, is the amazing amount of privacy (i’m guessing the greenery is enclosed) in spite of the openness. and if the greenery is up-lit at night, it beats an ocean view where there is nothing but darkness.
What I like most is how everything disappears — the stairs, the fireplace, the pocket sliding doors to other rooms, the low furniture, — everything is designed to allow the eye full access to that massive expanse of window and keep the focus on the incredible view.
In the bottom photo, top left, what’s the black line? A TV screen that descends?
This home is absolutely breathtaking- Love the incredible light it receives.
WOW, so amazing and spell binding. what should i say i never say such alluring design before. so adorable
I have to admit that I would probably be the first person to fall off the side of those stairs but they look very intriguing. The fireplace is what caught my immediate attention. It is very unusual. The room as a whole though on the contemporary side looks very warm and inviting. I could see myself relaxing in this room with a good book.
love the staircase and the hanging fireplace.
