HOME FURNISHING GURU JONATHAN ADLER’S NYC HOME!

August 3, 2010

Jonathan Adler's NYC dining room with vintage George Nelson table, an orange and white chevron patterned rug and an arched ceiling with graphic decorative molding
Jonathan Adler’s NYC dining room with its fab vintage George Nelson table is decorated from top to bottom including a fantastic orange and white zig zag rug and an arched ceiling with a graphic decorative molding pattern. (above)

Here is a peek at design and furniture maven Jonathan Adler’s NYC posh pad that he shares with partner Simon Doonan. A wonderful celebrity home that has a very cool retro vibe.

I love the dining room the most I think in this New York City apartment. Love the almost barrel vaulted ceiling with the cool pattern and the huge white globe glass ceiling fixtures hanging over the long inviting dining room table.

Hmmmm…would be fun to hang out in this home…how can I get (or finagle…yes am shameless) an invite…hmmmmm…thinking….

It’s hard to believe that dining room is in NYC, given its cathedral-like impression! I love how he puts things together that are edgy, yet warm and inviting! Great post because this definitely isn’t design one usually sees!! Thanks!

The living room doesn’t really do it for me. It feels a little busy in the pictures. I have a feeling that this is more a matter of a room not showing well in a photo as opposed to actually being in the room. That dining room however. WOW! I love everything about it.

A masterclass in contemporary wedding event designA masterclass in contemporary wedding event design, every detail feels intentional, layered, and deeply personal.
Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
